A Knight With Nothing.

Alicia has no Essence. In a world where everyone is born with power, she has nothing but a shield, a sword, and a promise she made at ten years old: to become a knight. Now she's clawing up a thousand-rank ladder where the weak get buried in the Academy gardens, the strong will use her as a stepping stone, and worthy is only ever the first gate. She'll just have to be better.
