This Privacy Policy explains how Pooki, Inc. ("Pooki", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Loreum.

We try to collect only what we need to run the app.

1. Information we collect

We may collect:

  • Account information: name, username, email address, login method, and account settings.
  • Content you add: stories, chapters, text, prompts, images, uploaded files, reading progress, and preferences.
  • Purchase information: subscription status, product identifiers, and purchase entitlement data from Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card number.
  • Device and usage information: app version, device type, operating system, language, diagnostics, crash data, and basic app activity.
  • Attribution information: advertising or attribution identifiers when allowed by your device settings, used to understand how people discover Loreum.
  • Push notification information: your Expo push token if you choose to enable notifications.
  • Support information: messages you send us.

2. App permissions

Loreum may ask for device permissions only when a feature needs them:

  • Photos, media, or files: to upload an avatar, cover, image, or chapter file.
  • Notifications: to send push notifications if you opt in.
  • Tracking permission on iOS: for campaign attribution. You can decline it.
  • Audio playback permissions: for story audio playback. Loreum does not record audio unless we clearly add and request a recording feature.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • create and manage accounts;
  • provide, sync, personalize, and improve Loreum;
  • save content, preferences, and reading progress;
  • process subscriptions and paid access;
  • send service messages and notifications you choose to receive;
  • answer support requests;
  • prevent abuse, fix bugs, and keep Loreum secure;
  • understand app usage in a limited way.

4. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites for third-party advertising.

We share information only when needed to operate Loreum, comply with law, protect users, or complete a business transfer. Depending on the features you use, providers may include:

  • Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and backend services.
  • PostHog for limited product analytics and app lifecycle events. Session replay and touch capture are disabled.
  • Airbridge for deep links, campaign attribution, and subscription event measurement.
  • RevenueCat for subscription status and purchase entitlement management.
  • Expo for push notifications and app infrastructure.
  • Apple for Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, and iOS services.
  • Google for Google sign-in, Google Play purchases, and Android services.
  • Hosting, infrastructure, email, and support providers that help us operate Loreum.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless we need to keep it longer for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or accounting reasons.

You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information.

To delete your Loreum account in the app, open Loreum, go to Profile, open Settings, and tap Delete account. This removes your account and personal profile information from Loreum and signs you out.

If you cannot access the app, email contact@loreum.app from the email address associated with your account and ask us to delete your Loreum account. We may keep limited records if required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or accounting reasons.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted transmission such as HTTPS. No online service is perfectly secure, but we work to protect Loreum and its users.

7. Children

Loreum is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

8. International use

Pooki, Inc. is based in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as Loreum changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version.
