When the sun refuse to shine

When the sun dies into eternal twilight, Arthur loses his last warmth: his twelve-year-old dog, Barnaby. Grieving, he treks up a frozen mountain to the Threshold, a tear in reality revealing Heaven's golden light. Through the rift, Arthur sees Barnaby young and free, but an invisible barrier blocks passage. Tempted to freeze in the snow to join him, Arthur stops when Barnaby presses a paw to the glass, silently begging him to carry his warmth back into the dark and keep living.
